A is for Accessories

A –

Accessories can dress up or dress down any outfit.  They are the key to mixing and matching.

The Problem:

Packing for a long trip with limited space? Sick of that plain black t-shirt? Those old jeans just aren’t cutting it anymore? You’ve already worn your comfiest, warmest sweater one too many times?

The Answer:

Add an accessory or two & {drumroll please…} you have a whole new outfit!

My favorites:

TOMS Booties

TOMs booties are a perfect way to dress up your old jeans, or even your favorite pair of leggings.  You can even feel good about wearing them because for every pair you buy, the company donates a pair of shoes to someone in need!

Hunter Boots

Feeling gloomy on a rainy day?  Throw on a pair of hunters, and splash away.

Timberland Boots

Walking to class? Trekking through the snow? Timberlands have you covered.  Add a cute pair of socks, and your good to go!

St. Christopher Medals

St. Christopher is the patron saint of travelers.  These medals come in almost every color you can imagine, and they can be worn as a necklace, a bracelet, or a ring.  Feel safe while you travel the world with this ring on your finger.

Claddagh Ring

Claddagh Ring

Claddagh rings can tell you a lot about a girl before you even speak a word.  They have an incredible past in Ireland with an even better story.  My Claddagh ring in this picture holds a special place in my heart because my brother bought it for me while he was abroad in Dublin last summer {thanks, Joey!}.

Alex & Ani

My friend from Boston bought me my first Alex & Ani bracelet when I graduated from highschool in 2012.  I have been hooked ever since.  Wear one, or wear ten. The look is perfect nomatter what, and they’re a great way to express your personality.  You can even mix and match metal tones for a more unique style. {Tip: They look great paired with your favorite watch, too!}

Michael Kors WatchIMG_3967

Santa surprised me with this gorgeous watch this Christmas! Theres not “time” like the present to travel the world.

Lizzibeth Blank Scarf

This is one of my favorite gifts from this year’s holiday season.  The plaid blanket scarf goes well neutral toned sweaters, tshirts, leather jackets, or jean shirts.  It’s great for travel because it can double as a blanket on long plane rides.  Blanket scarves are a definite must have.

Burberry Scarf

Burberry scarves are another personalfavorite in this department.  Notonly are they versatile, but they can dress up an outfit.  The burgundy, black, white and grey is my personal favorite.  Pair with a grey, maroon, or black sweater, shirt or jacket and feel great doing it!

Sideways Cross Necklace

As you can tell, there is a theme about gifts here. This accessory is courtesy of my dad. Last Christmas my dad gave my mom and I sideways cross necklaces, and I haven’t taken mine off since. Not only does it go with everything, but its always nice to keep religion close to your heart. It’s a simple reminder to keep things in perspective.

Monogram Necklace

Because it’s cute, preppy, and you should wear your initials with pride.

J. Crew Jewels

A J. Crew necklace can make an outfit out of anything. The chunky bejeweled style is beloved by all.  Find your favorite {secret: the J. Crew Factory website / stores sell them, too}.

Kate Spade Earrings

Any color, big or small, Kate Spade makes them all.  These earrings go with everything and you’ll love them!

Ray Ban Aviators

Spring break is right around the corner.  Ray Ban aviators have been my go-to sunglasses for a few years now.  Every color creates a different look. You can’t go wrong wearing these sunglasses on the beach, by the pool, or taking a road trip with friends!
